This virtual election security tabletop exercise will be conducted in a roundtable style, with collaboration and participation amongst the participants and moderators. The participants will we presented with scenarios that may be faced leading up to or on Election Day. The curriculum and scenarios will be similar to those utilized in WEC’s traditional in-person tabletop exercises; however, using this particular platform will require more individual participation as all participants will be in one single group.
The training will provide participants opportunities to identify, assess, and solve issues that could affect elections. The goals of this training are to assess the current awareness and readiness of clerks as they relate to election security (physical, operational, cyber) and communications, and to provide tools and resources to help better prepare clerks for potential future incidents.
The Election Security V-TTX will be presented via Zoom and participants should expect to be actively engaged. We want clerks to feel comfortable participating openly, and as a result, this event will not be open to the public nor will it be recorded. Once registration is confirmed, a Zoom link will be emailed to the participant.
